The food was great, but what was even better was the amazing service we got from Janneh! We unexpectedly had a family emergency so I had to fly home to grab our child and our original reservation was only for 2 but they had no issue adding in our 10 year old! Don't let the phone number scare you about the no reservations under 10, we had no issues getting in for breakfast! My husband got the Royal omelette he had loved years ago here, I got the seafood omelette and son got the veggie omelette (sans hollandaise sauce) all was great and the drinks too! It's really hard these days to find good service and Janneh really made a sweet ending to our trip! My hubby had to run and grab our rental car and she was so kind while we "camped" for a while. Thank you Oceana and Janneh we will be back!

Oceana had the largest variety of options I've seen since my visit. I was tempted to order a little bit of everything on their menu. I really wanted the fried platter but ended up having the blackend redfish with greens instead ( I don't know what happened to my pic).. It was goooood. Underneath the fish was a bed of seafood rice. Everything was well-flavored. For the appetizer, we opted for char grilled oysters  and boudin balls.  It was my first time trying both, and I'm a new fan. The oysters butter sauce was delicious and buttery. Everything was full of delicious flavors. The boudin ball and the dipping sauce had a good cajun kick to it. We ended our lunch with a nice slice of bread pudding. Smh, my man had to force my spoon down. It was 10 out of 10!!  Everything  we ordered came out piping hot. Our server was also lovely and attentive and gave so many great suggestions. I'm so happy I was able to end my trip with such delicious meals. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating. From our table, we were able to see whats going on outside. Its an open area but It wasn't too loud. Great food. Great location. Great customer service. I'm happy with my visit.

Got to our timeshare in the French Quarter late at night, and Oceana Grill was conveniently opened until 1am. There was a line waiting outside the door at 10pm on a Tuesday night, and it was still very lively inside this huge restaurant with three floors and a courtyard. The three of us shared a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo, Louisiana crabmeat cakes served with crawfish mushroom cream sauce, taste of New Orleans (Creole jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, and red bean & rice with smoked sausage), and a fried seafood platter. There was so much food and they all tasted very good. Service was a bit slow but our server was really nice. Prices were really reasonable. It's a decent spot for local comfort food.

Came to Oceana Grill for breakfast one day. I tried my best to find breakfast places in town that added a little Cajun flair to things, and Oceana did the trick. So we woke up early, walked over here right around the time they opened, and got seated. We were the first ones there, as per usual. Lol. The inside décor was very Bourdon Streety. It's right there, and probably gets a significant amount of its business from random passersby. So it looks very touristy, but that's not a bad thing. I like eating in a fun looking place. The service was good. It would be hard to be bad, though, considering we were the only ones there. Now for the food. I got the Maw Maw's Cajun Breakfast (Bits of bacon & shrimp scrambled with eggs & jambalaya rice. Served with a biscuit), and I'm glad I did. Everything I love, bacon, shrimp, rice, mixed in with so much egg. I was like a pig in S. The biscuit was good, but if you Love biscuits, I would ask for a couple more. I also got to try the Pain Perdu "Lost Bread" (New Orleans' version of French toast using French bread, served with sausage patties). Very fun! Not the softest or creamiest French toast, maybe Pain Perdu isn't supposed to be, but just be aware. Sausage patties were good. A nice sweet treat. Overall, this place was pretty good. I'm glad I got to try it.

We're from out of town and this was the first place that was recommended by our driver. My wife and I went a bit overboard when ordering, but heck, 'YOLO' am I right?!!! I wanted to try Gator for the first time, so I ordered the Gator Bites (1/2 fried & 1/2 smoked). The fried was more tender while the smoked was more flavorful....and it does taste LIKE chicken! Then ordered 6 oysters 1/2 shell, the Taste of NO plate, and the large deep fried seafood platter (BIG MISTAKE for two people). It was all tasty but too much fried food in one sitting. The jumbo fried shrimp was nothing to rave about. The service was a bit slow as there was another table and ours waving for service. But she was pleasant, kind, and friendly. The atmosphere was lively but we sat outside and loved it. The heat brings out the bugs, I'm telling you, but it is what it is. Sit inside if that bothers you.

The food was good. They have lots on the menu to choose from. I got the spinach ravioli with the Oceana Cream sauce. SO tasty. They do have a full bar but I went with a seltzer. The service was good. Everyone was nice and attentive even though they were super busy. The ambiance was fun. All seating is indoors but it's 2 stories so lots of space. Each floor does have a bar that you can sit at to eat and drink.
